THE TRIP
Northern United States Route
4,026 miles in 82 days. Only 2 days off, 17 build days, and 63 ride days. Riding 65 miles per day on average.
Now that's a summer vacation!
Pushing through the Midwest, skimming across Canada, passing through Glacier National Park, and crossing the Casecade Mountains, a group of about 30 riders between the ages of 18-25, have dedicated their summer to pedal for a purpose. Our route, NUS, is one of the oldest for Bike & Build, starting with its foundation in 2003. Starting in Portsmouth, NH on June 13 and ending in Bellingham, WA on August 31 we will pass through hundreds of communties raising awareness and helping build houses. As you can imagine, the terrain will varry, some days will be as long as 105 miles, where as others will be as little as 30 miles.
Along the way we stay in generous community host centers like City Centers, Churches, etc. Each community we stay at we will give presentations educating and raising awarness about the cause. The list below shows the communties we will actually be helping build the houses for the cause.
